Built in 1884, the famous redbrick building oozes history. In 1912, Titanic survivors stayed here for a few days; other former residents include Mark Twain, Dylan Thomas, O. Henry and Brendan Behan. No evidence remains of the hotels most infamous association: the murder of Nancy Spungen by Sex Pistol Sid Vicious. The cocktail lounge Serena lures a sleek crowd to the basement.
